Groundworx GTM 1.1.0 is a full rebuild of the settings experience. The plugin still does one thing, inserting your Google Tag Manager snippet, but the admin side is now significantly cleaner and better integrated with the rest of the Groundworx ecosystem.
New React settings page
The settings page has been rebuilt from scratch using React with native WordPress components. It feels at home in the block editor era and replaces the old Settings API implementation with a REST API endpoint, which is more performant and easier to extend going forward.
Groundworx admin menu
GTM settings now live under the shared Groundworx admin menu, alongside your other Groundworx plugins. No more hunting through a separate menu item.
Small but useful
A settings link has been added directly to the plugin action links on the plugins page, and a keyboard shortcut (Ctrl/Cmd+S) lets you save without reaching for the mouse.
PHP requirement lowered to 7.4. Tested up to WordPress 6.9.
